Chief Financial Officer

Jennifer joined Montage in 2019 and currently serves as Chief Financial Officer (CFO). In this role, she oversees all financial operations, including invoices and billing, bookkeeping, accounting, and financial reporting. She is responsible for budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial analysis to support strategic decision-making and ensure the company’s financial health. Jennifer also manages compliance, internal controls, and process improvements, helping to streamline operations and strengthen financial governance. Additionally, she partners closely with executive leadership to support business growth initiatives, vendor management, and long-term financial planning.

Jennifer Barnes graduated from California State University, Fullerton with a Bachelor’s degree in Business with an emphasis in Accounting. While attending CSUF, she was invited to join the honors society Beta Alpha Psi (Delta Beta Chapter) and was an active member of the Accounting Society.

Following graduation, Jennifer was recruited by top-tier accounting firm RSM US, LLP (formerly McGladrey). During her tenure at RSM, she performed financial statement audits for large publicly held technology and manufacturing companies. She also supported public clients with Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX) compliance, including implementation, control rationalization, and controls testing, and specialized in risk and compliance engagements.

Jennifer’s experience at RSM led her to a successful role as Assistant Vice President at Bank of America, where she managed the SOX, Financial Statement Audit (FAR), and SOC 1 (AT-801/SSAE 16) audit portfolio within Default Servicing. Her leadership in control rationalization significantly reduced audit scope and testing, resulting in lower audit fees and cost savings for the organization. Jennifer is a six-time award recipient of multiple, gold, silver, and bronze awards in excellence, diversity and inclusion and outstanding performance, as well as the Presidential Volunteer Award.

Jennifer is the proud mother of twin boys and a stepmother to older twin sons who are thriving in their careers in the technology industry. She is passionate about community service and volunteers her time providing hot meals to homeless families.

In addition to her corporate career, Jennifer is a co-owner and co-founder of an independent video game developer, which is operated by industry veteran and Lifetime Achievement Award recipient Tony Barnes.
