General Litigation/Employment/Securities/Federal Practice
Jamie Lieberman received her Juris Doctor from Seton Hall University School of Law in 2005, where she graduated magna cum laude and Order of the Coif and was the Managing Editor of the Seton Hall Law Review. During law school, Jamie was a summer associate at Riker, Danzig, Scherer, Hyland & Peretti LLP and externed for the Honorable Patty Shwartz of the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey.
Upon graduation, Jamie began her career at the Morristown, New Jersey office of Riker Danzig, where she was a litigation associate representing clients in complex commercial litigations, securities actions and employment matters. Jamie served as the lead associate on a number of matters, including a multi-million dollar Sarbanes-Oxley whistleblower case.
Jamie then joined Winston & Strawn, LLP’s New York office where she focused on securities and employment litigation. Jamie handled all stages of litigation including drafting pleadings, motions and discovery, taking and defending depositions, arguing motions and court appearances. Jamie held a leadership role at Winston as a member of the e-discovery practice group and a mentor to summer associates.
In 2009, Jamie transitioned from private practice to serve as the Career Law Clerk for the Honorable Esther Salas, U.S.D.J. in the United District Court for the District of New Jersey. As a Career Law Clerk, Jamie was responsible for researching and drafting legal opinions, orders and memoranda in a wide variety of cases including complex commercial litigation, employment litigation, securities regulation, intellectual property, and criminal matters.
Jamie is currently an Adjunct Professor at Seton Hall University School of Law teaching Legal Research and Writing. In addition to her legal career, Jamie also co-founded and writes for a parenting website entitled www.twohappymamas.com.
Jamie joined Montage Legal Group in March 2013 and is located in Hoboken, New Jersey.
