Lindley graduated summa cum laude from the University of Southern California in 1998, where she was the valedictorian for the School of Public Policy and Management. She received her Juris Doctor from the University of California, Berkeley in 2002, where she graduated in the top third of her class.
Lindley began her career at Latham & Watkins where she focused on intellectual property matters, environmental law, and complex business litigation. During her time at Latham, Lindley served as lead counsel on an unlawful detainer matter, drafted legislation for the California Water Code, negotiated multiple settlements, took and defended depositions, and worked on multiple complex cases involving toxic tort claims. Lindley was also employed as Associate Counsel for K. Hovnanian Homes in Irvine, California, and worked on various real estate and employment law matters.
Lindley then joined Payne & Fears in Irvine, California, where she focused on employment and business litigation matters. At Payne & Fears, Lindley represented a broad spectrum of clients, including major retailers, financial institutions, public golf courses, theme park entities, small business owners, and individual employees. Lindley prepared multiple cases for trial, took and defended over 50 depositions, prepared dispositive motions on a regular basis, mediated cases, and counseled clients on various litigation and employment law matters.
Lindley currently works as an employment law and HR consultant, and mediator. In this capacity, Lindley provides counseling on pre-litigation employment and labor law matters, DFEH and EEOC response letters, employee handbooks and policies, sexual harassment training, workplace investigations, human resources training, and employment law mediation services. In additional to her legal career, Lindley is on the Executive Board for the USC Town & Gown Junior Auxiliary of Orange County, which raises scholarship funds for students attending USC. Lindley is also a member of the National Association of Women Business Owners and the Orange County Bar Association.
