Lindley graduated summa cum laude from the University of Southern California in 1998, where she was the valedictorian for the School of Public Policy and Management. She received her Juris Doctor from the University of California, Berkeley in 2002, where she graduated in the top third of her class. Lindley began her career at Latham & Watkins where she focused on intellectual property matters, environmental law, and complex business litigation. During her time at Latham, Lindley served as lead counsel on an unlawful detainer matter, drafted legislation for the California Water Code, negotiated multiple settlements, took and defended depositions, and worked on multiple complex cases involving toxic tort claims.
