We’re thrilled to share that Montage Legal Group co-founder and owner, Erin Giglia, was recently featured on HeraHub’s Flight Club podcast, hosted by Felena Hanson, founder of the Hera Hub female-focused coworking community.
Each episode of Flight Club offers an inspiring behind-the-scenes look at female entrepreneurship, highlighting the pivotal moments when women find their “lean out” moment and take the leap to launch their own ventures. In this episode, Erin joins Felena to discuss her journey from traditional law firm life to creating a groundbreaking business that redefined how attorneys work.
As an attorney since 2001, Erin experienced firsthand the challenges of balancing a demanding legal career with family life. In 2009, she and co-founder Laurie Rowen launched Montage Legal Group, a nationwide network of over 450 exceptionally trained freelance attorneys who handle substantive legal projects for law firms. Their innovative model provides law firms with top-tier legal talent on demand—while empowering attorneys to find meaningful, flexible careers outside the confines of traditional practice.
During the interview, Erin shares how Montage began as a passion project for work-life balance and evolved into a thriving company recognized for both professional excellence and community impact. Under Erin’s leadership, Montage has not only supported hundreds of lawyers but also given back to the community through philanthropy. In 2017, Montage Legal Group was named National Philanthropy Day’s Small Business of the Year for its charitable leadership. Erin also serves on the Board of Directors of WISEPlace—a nonprofit supporting unhoused women—and on the University of San Diego School of Law Alumni Board.
Erin’s Flight Club episode offers a candid, encouraging conversation about entrepreneurship, purpose, and designing a career on your own terms.
