“Suits for a Cause” Law Firm Clothing Drive 2012

May 11, 2012

In June of 2012, Southern California law firms joined together for the second year in a row for “Suits for a Cause,” a law firm clothing drive supporting WHW (Women Helping Women/Men2Work).  WHW is an Orange County non-profit that provides, at no charge or obligation, comprehensive employment support services to empower disadvantaged men, women and teens to achieve economic self-sufficiency through employment success.

All Southern California law firms and legal businesses were invited to participate in the clothing drive.  In 2011, over 25 law firms/legal businesses participated in the event, making it one of the largest simultaneous clothing drives ever held for WHW.  This year, thirteen law firms sponsored Suits for a Cause, and numerous law firms signed up to participate, bringing the current total to 30 participants! Please visit WHW’s Suits for a Cause page for more information.

All participating law firms were invited to a Suits for a Cause breakfast reception, which was held at WHW on Wednesday, June 27th, from 8:00am-10:00am.  Photos from the event are here: Photos from 2012 Suits for a Cause Event.

If your firm would like to participate in Suits for a Cause by holding a clothing drive next June, or at any other time during the year, please contact WHW Board Member, Laurie Rowen at [email protected].  Download the flyer here: Suits for a Cause Flyer – 2012.

Thank you to all of our sponsoring and participating law firms!
