WHW is Seeking Firms to Participate in Suits for a Cause – 2014

May 19, 2014

WHW logoWe are excited to announce that Suits for a Cause will again take place this June! For four years in a row, law firms have joined together to hold simultaneous clothing drives supporting WHW (Women Helping Women/Men2Work), an Orange County non-profit that provides, at no charge or obligation, comprehensive employment support services to empower disadvantaged men, women and teens get and keep good jobs. This year, Kate King – a WHW Advisory Board member and owner of the financial services company The KFK Group –will help grow Suits for a Cause by adding the local financial services industry to this event.

All Southern California law firms and financial services companies (from solo practitioners to international businesses) are invited to participate in Suits for a Cause.  In 2013, over 40 law firms, law schools and businesses in the legal industry participated in the event by holding simultaneous clothing drives, making it the largest community wide clothing drive event held for WHW annually.

WHW hopes to make Suits for a Cause – 2014 even larger, with a goal of having 50 participants this year.  To participate, firms/businesses simply need to organize a clothing drive by emailing a flyer to their firm about Suits for a Cause, and by designating a room for clothing drop-offs.  WHW will provide flyers, WHW/Men2Work brochures, and donation receipts to all participating firms.  All participants along with the 17 sponsoring organizations will be listed on WHW’s website.  Montage Legal Group is again honored to serve as a sponsor.  To view the list of current sponsors and participants, please visit the Suits for a Cause website, here: http://www.whw.org/donate/suits-for-a-cause.

If you would like to participate in Suits for a Cause by holding a clothing drive during the month of June, please contact WHW Advisory Board Members, Laurie Rowen ([email protected]gelegal.com) or Kate King ([email protected]).
