Ten years ago, I wanted to find a way to support one of our favorite Orange County non-profits, WHW, which is dedicated to helping the unemployed and underemployed get and keep jobs. WHW provides comprehensive employment services to its clients, including providing jobseekers with free suits for their upcoming interviews. Which industry still wears suits? Lawyers! In 2011, we decided to hold Orange County’s first law firm clothing drive supporting WHW, and we called it “Suits for a Cause.”
We can’t believe Suits for a Cause is now in its 10th year! Suits for a Cause 2020 will again unite the legal community this March. Law firms and legal businesses will join together to hold clothing drives supporting WHW. This year, Karen Sussman of Elite Court Reporting is chairing the event.
All Southern California law firms and legal businesses (from solo practitioners to international firms) are invited to participate in Suits for a Cause 2020. To participate, firms/businesses simply need to donate clothing to WHW. All participants along with the sponsors will be listed on WHW’s website, and are invited to a free breakfast on Thursday, March 26th, at the Center Club to celebrate the event’s success and learn more about WHW. Please email me at [email protected] to participate in Suits for a Cause 2020.
Orange County Women Lawyers Association (OCWLA) sponsoring Suits for a Cause, and will also hold a special Suits for a Cause clothing collection on March 13, at their monthly meeting. To register for this event and drop off your suits, please visit OCWLA’s registration page here: Register for OCWLA’s WHW Collection CLE.
Montage Legal Group is again honored to sponsor of Suits for a Cause for the 10th year in a row. We also want to thank all of the other sponsors. We appreciate your support and generosity!
